When researching the name Stroud I met over and over the posting of a Charles T. as being a son of Jacob and Elizabeth McDowell Stroud, Jacob born in 1735 and a Patriot.  The Stroud records are in Stroudsburg Pa, housed in old Stroud Mansion.  Charles was not a son of Jacob, Jacob had a daugther, Deborah, born Jan 1782, Charles could not have been born in Sept 1781.  How do I get this information out?

The best thing to do is to post the correct pedigree on the Stroud Pedigree Forum  You can also explain the mistake that has been repeated, so that other researchers can see your posting and perhaps correspond with you.

Best of luck with your continued research.
