We have a new German R-P312 member (he hasn't ordered L21 yet): Graber, at Placemark 140 on the R-P312* map at the link in my signature below.

You'll notice the placemark is in Western Russia, but in this case the most distant y ancestor was an ethnic German.

I mentioned that the R-P312 and Subclades Project picked up another German L21+ yesterday, Fix, from
Bundenbach, near Wiesbaden. Well, we also acquired several new German R-P312 (X M153, M222, SRY2627, U152) yesterday who have not yet been tested for L21. A couple of them have already ordered the L21 test, and none of them belongs to Ken Nordtvedt's "North-South" cluster (which is L21-).

They are:

Feuling
Bronk
Bossenberry (originally Bossenberger)
Hankey (originally Höhnke)
Snyder (originally Schneider)


The first three are westerners. Hankey's ancestor came from Prussia (but so
did Krüger's, and he's L21+ ). Snyder  does not yet list a particular spot in Germany on his "User Preferences"
page, but I think he's a westerner.

Snyder and Hankey have both ordered L21. I am urging Feuling, Bronk, and
Bossenberry to do the same, and I hope they will.

I forgot to mention Wolken, another new member of German descent. He is P312+ U152- but awaiting the rest of his Deep Clade-R stuff and hoping FTDNA will throw in L21. His y ancestor came from Ostfriesland.

We also had Schrepfer join, whose ancestor came from Bavaria, but I think he will be U152+ because he has a 34/37 match with a confirmed U152+.

I know some maintain one cannot predict U152 by STRs alone, so it will be interesting to see the result.
