Marmaduke David Hornsby, b. 27 Jul 1796 Georgia, d. aft 1859 Texas, is referenced in "The Laws of Texas, 1822-1897," compiled by Hans Peter Nielsen Gammel in 1898.
In the book, Marmaduke David Hornsby, who also went by the name of Duke Hornsby, is referred to by the name of "M. Duke Hornsby," and he served as a Commissioner for the establishment of Trinity County, Teaxs, which was formerly a portion of Houston Co., Texas.
