Many families are encouraging males within the family to have a DNA analysis to determine if they descend from a common ancestor. If any male descendant of Abraham Field of Westmoreland County, Virginia, is interested and willing to have his Y chromosome DNA tested I would be extremely interested in the results. Our branch of the Field Family descends from Abraham Field (1636-1674) of Westmoreland Co. VA.  Of special interest to this branch of the Field Family is the fact that Joseph and Reuben Field accompanied Lewis & Clark on the Corps of Discovery.

If you haven't already done so, I recommend posting your family tree on our pedigree forum.  All pedigrees posted on that page will be transfered to the surname project website, so that other researchers may find you and contact you:
