Hello Readers.
Afte some reasearch according to familysearch,
and knowing that my grandfather was Melvin J Dawson b 1919, I looked back
as far as I could. His father was John Q Dawson whose great grandparents came
from Canada. Kootenay I believe. According to the 1930 census, Melvins mother
was Lillian M Dawson. According to Ancestry, Lillians parents came from what I believe to be Southern Ireland. Its says Irish-Free State. The southern Irish became a free state when the Northern backed out. I tried checking the Canadian census and found one name that stands out. Cecil Dawson. Not sure if thats the one. I was adopted but I do know my fathers name of Robert Melvin Dawson b 2-20-44 in Detroit. Melvin, John Q and Lillian were all from Detroit. I am in need of medical information so would like to hear from any relatives. Even cousins.
God Bless,
Greg
