Hi. I'm new to the forum, and I would like to share my "J" information with you.

I am have haplogroup J with Snps= J12612 (not sure what this means) and HV1 sequence 16069T, 16126C, 16274A, 16319A.

I noticed that all of us seem to have the first two mutations in common. Maybe we are all some kind of cousins??

I was tested in the National Geographic Genome Project. My information has also been added to the Family Tree DNA site.

Looking forward to see comments.

Hi, Vicky. As you can see, I haven't visited this site for a while!

If we have the same snps, and Haplogroup, wouldn't that indicate very close ancestors? I'm not sure I understand what the snps means. But, I'm wondering what part of the country do you live in?

Hi, first time I post and not really expertโ˜บ!
I'm Sicilian , my mtn dna is J1c1. My daughter did the test with NG, since hers is J1c1, I believe
I pass it to her....
I'll do myself my own test . Start to be really fascinated about.
Somebody, please, can explains to me how a Sicilian can have a mtn dna j1c1?
I read posts... seems English/Irish/nord Europe people got the same
????๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Šof course I know Sicilians we are a mixture... but...
