The fastest way to find a surname project is to search at The World's most complete Surname DNA Project listing, keeping in mind that there are many spelling variations of some surnames.? Most people who don?t initially find their surname project there try the variant spellings until they find a project.? However, there are many other ways that people find their surname projects, from family reunions to emails from genealogists.?

I started on this whole DNA thing when there was a posting on Genforum saying a project had started.
When I found there was no formal project going, I started our Surname Project.
To support it I wanted a home page that encouraged cooperation.
The answer was http://pbwiki.com/ where free sites allow users to add, remove, or otherwise edit and change all content.
