We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for this Surname.   Our Surname Project is primarily interested in your Paternal line, as surnames are passed down from father to son, just as the yDNA is passed down.

Samuel Diver mentioned in Griffith's Valuation "Village of Kilmacrenan, Parish of Kilmacrenan (OS Map 45)
14, Samuel Diver (Long), renting form the Earl of Leitrim, house, outbuilding, pond and small garden" wife's name was Elizabeth

son James b. 1824 in Kilmacrenan m. Sarah Cheatley (b.. 1841 Dromore, Donegal, Ireland) on Apr. 30, 1857 in Donegal, Ireland. Immigrated on the ship Doctor Kane in 1862. Settled in Picton, Ontario.
