I am just thrilled you are doing the DNA thing.  I got caught up in this a year or so ago.  I have a 12 marker DNA for my Hefner line.  I will see about posting it before long.  A lot of people say a 12 marker DNA is not enough markers.  That maybe so most of the time, but I have come up with exact  matches on two different ancestors. One we had proved with research already, and the second we are woking on right now.  I believe it will work out.  If my 12 markers do not work, then I run to all the kin folks with my handout. and no I can not update mine as it was done by a private lab...that is spelled FBI,  They always use only a 12 marker.

I can hardly wait to see what we come up with.  I know we have a number of immigrants that made it to NC, I just wonder if any are related to any of the others, my bet is that they so.

I filled out my family page,  I actually used a male cousin of my mother.  Since he is living I only used his nickname.  I hope that is OK.   God never blessed my father with any son's.
