I am Joe Hood, a descendant of Wiley Hood. My Y-DNA Test matches up 12/12 with a number of other Hoods. A descendant of Samuel Underwood who lived in MD in 1660 is a 12-Marker Y-DNA Match for our Hoods as are many other individuals in many countries. Samuel Underwood does not match up with my results at a 25-Marker level. My question is: since many other individuals who do not have a Hood surname match up with us at a 12-Marker level, why is Samuel Underwood's descendant's Y-DNA result posted under the Hood results?  9/5/05 - Mistake is now corrected, with a Hood patriarch listed.
