Hi Bob,
I will be happy to post your pedigree on our Patriarch's Page.  But we try not to include persons born after 1910 for their protection.

Feel free to make comments by email to me at

Great-Grandfather Thomas Gleeson was born c1818 and at the time of Griffiths Valuation of 1852 lived in Coad, Kilcrohane Parish, County Kerry, Ireland.? At this time, Thomas Gleeson worked for the Board of Trade, at the Watch House in Coad.? Sometime later, he entered the boatbuilding trade and died at Skehanaugh, County Kerry on 16 August 1896.
Thomas Gleeson married Ellen Byrne and they had three children who were baptised in the R.C. Chapel in Cahirdaniel, County Kerry.? The children were James, born 1853, Richard born 1858 and Hanora born in 1863.

His son Richard Gleeson, my grandfather married Gobnait (Abbie) Shea, daughter of John Shea and Gobnait Sullivan on 22 February 1887 at Cahirdaniel and lived at Derreensillagh, County Kerry.? The children from this union, were:? Mary (1889), Bridget (1892), Catherine (1893), Ellen (1895) John (1897), Patrick (1900), Hanora (1902)
Richard Gleeson died in 1943 at Derreensillagh and is buried in Coad.

My father, Patrick Gleeson born 13 January 1900, married Mary Kearns in New York City in April 1938 and died 4 May 1972 in New York.? ? ? ?? ??

I realize this message is very old.  Your DNA kit matches two of my Y DNA kits, 66/67 and 67/67.  I tried to email you but the email bounced. Please contact me.
