We invite you to submit your "Pedigree" for this Surname.   Our Surname Project is primarily interested in your Paternal line, as surnames are passed down from father to son, just as the yDNA is passed down.

this infrtm is about my dad, grandfather, great grandfather.they belong to indoeuropean family.our ancestors were from europe.they came to india probably hundreds of years back. but, they stuck to their family ancestors name; sagar.
hope to find some connection genetically.

J. Kocher, Geschichte der Stadt Nürtingen, Band III (Stuttgart: Greiner & Pfeiffer, 1928), Tafel 13, indicates that Joseph Seeger -- occupation "Sägmüller" -- was admitted to citizenship at Nürtingen on 19 Sep 1703 ("19. 9. 1703 ins Bürgerrecht aufgenommen").

Looking for any info on;

Census records generally list the name of Frank as Seger, but death certificates of his children list him as Saeger.
