Hello fellow researchers,

I've been researching my lineage off and on for the last 5 years and have recently started it up again. My oldest known relative is John Cummins born in VA in 1763 and I've hit a wall. I've seen some trees listing him as a son of Moses Cummings, however I can find no documentation or DNA matches to confirm this. I've also found information listing him as a son of a Thomas Cummins, however nothing solid confirming this. My lineage is as follows -

John Cummings b. 1763 VA d. Nov 3 1844 Macoupin County IL - Spouse Lucinda "Lucy" Elliot b. abt 1770 KY d. Nov 3 1838 Macoupin Co IL

Capt. Samuel Cummings b. Dec 21 1823 Georgetown, KY d. Sep 30 1884 Carlinville, IL - Spouse Mary McCulley b. 1810 TN, d. unknown year in Carlinville, IL

William J. Cummings b 1839 Macoupin County, IL d. Jan 13 1905 MO - Spouse Mary E. Alford b. abt 1832 IL d. Feb 1860 IL

Edmund S Cummings b. Jun 9 1857 Carlinville, IL d. May 12 1946 Lincoln, NE - Spouse Kate Lewis b Feb 1852 Shaw Point, IL d. Jun 1924 Lincoln, NE

Charles E Cummings b Mar 5 1882 NE d. Jun 1965 NE - Spouse Beulah E Huston b. May 24 1888 NE d. 1956

Russel Cummings b Sep 29 1915 NE d. Dec 21 1989 Santa Clara, CA - Spouse still living

Leading to myself!

If this matches up with anyone else or if anyone has any information I would love to hear about it. Maybe we can collaborate. Thanks in advance.
