I am the GGGrandson of James P. Whitecotton probably better known as the father of Jim and Hy Whitecotton who were killed at the Masonic picnic near Woodville, Jackson County, Al.
The line goes from James P. to his son Tillman Burns Whitecotton Sr. to Tillman Jr. then to my grandfather, John L. who is my mothers dad. if anyon has any information and pictures they would like to share, please get in touch with me. I have several gravsite pictures of family members who are buried within driving distance from me and look forward to traveling to Alabama at a later time.

James P. and wife Louisa (Turner) Whitecotton
Demon (Dee) and wife Elizabeth (Palmer) Whitecotton
James Johnson and 2nd wife Nancy Ann (Montgomery) Whitecotton
Burnice Carlisle and wife Peggy Jean (Whitecotton) Brewer
Karla Jean (Brewer) and husband Gerald Maurice Lang

This is my line of the Whitecotton Family. Have quite a bit of information that I'm willing to share. Can theoretically take the line back further, but don't feel I have the proof to make it legit.
