I've just had my DNA results from the National Geographic Genographic Project.

I've just started research into the John Family history but it's slow going!!

I'm From South Wales and believe that the 'John' surname was first found in West Wales, and more specifically the Clynderwen area of Carmarthenshire.

I'd love to hear from other people with the John surname who may have had success in tracing their family tree or also have DNA test results.

By the way my hablogroup is R1b which i believe stems mostly from Western Europe - being most concentrated along the west coast regions and in particular Basque area, Ireland, Wales etc...this would seem to tie in with my family history...i'd be grateful to hear any other peoples comments.
