For people who have taken the DNA test where did your ancester live?
Mine was in Darlington SC in 1780. Birth place possibly Virginia.

My earliest proven ancestor was Morgan Kirby, b 1810 in NC, and moved to GA in the 1830's.  He married Hannah Shaw and lived in GA until he died in the Civil War in 1865.

I received my kit today and will post my results as soon as I get them back.

The earliest identified Kirby in my tree is William Kerby b. about 1855 in Tennessee. The earliest record I have found for him is the 1860 Census for Greene County, Arkansas where he is recorded as living in his stepfather Theophilus Hamilton Newsom's household. I am hoping the DNA test will help me identify his father.
