It seems like most of the Leach family is of haplogroup R1b and then from there it is broken down into Lineages. I was paired with someone in lineage VII. If they did the Y-37 and I did the Y-111, could retesting the first to a Y-111 increase the relationship?

A second question is can it be determined how many generations back our common ancestor was?
