So I have MY autosomal test from ancestry on the ftdna site and my DAD's y test from NatGeo there also.  I joined this Weaver project because I THINK I'm a Weaver.  My grandfather was born out of wedlock and we never knew who his father was.  Thru dna testing and comparing matches using ancestry, ftdna, and gedmatch I think I belong to the Weaver family.
How do I know for sure?  Should I have used my father's Y test?
any help would be appreciated.
