Does anyone have information on this family?

Newspaper article: January 9, 1890
Bismark, North Dakota "The Bismark Daily Tribune."
"Alice Jackman, the 14-year old heiress who figured in two sensational abduction cases and who claimed to have been abducted last Sunday night by three men, one of whom she named as Charley Brouthers, has confessed her story was untrue and made out of whole cloth."
