Between my Father's kit and my kit (with the Y-DNA67), it's showing quite a trend with West Cork.
These kits show a story towards, either a Desmond Fitzgerald or a Kildare connection.
My Y-DNA suggests there is a MacCarthy connection to the Fitzgerald name. It points towards the high probability of a Male MacCarthy marrying a Female Fitzgerald and they somehow remarried back in to the Fitzgerald line?
The Y-DNA shows Fitzgibbon's are at the 37 level, 1 Fitzgerald at the 12 Marker.
I have Sweeney, Mahoney, O'Sullivan, Collins, O'Driscoll and O'Shea ancestry.
I am either looking at the MacCarthy Reagh era or the Desmond line mixing most possibly with people at the "Kenmare" estates in Kerry.
Many people who mixed with these family lines, match up on either my kit (Y-DNA or Autosomal) or my Father's Autosomal.
Anyone with a similar story?
