My mother's MTDNA line ends with Sarah Blackman/Blackman of Wayne County, NC .
Her Haplo Group is U5b2a1a1a and Sarah who married William Alford  and her mother who married a Blackman will be the same haplotype. It is a pretty rare Haplo and I only have one exact match 100 years more currently. If anybody has speculations about  who Sarah Blackman's mother might be we might be ablt to trace up the line and sideways to Aunts and their daughters to verify the genealogy. My Line Goes from Sarah Blackman to her daughter Sarah Alford to her daughter Courtney Carraway who married Elizabeth Ford. All of these families were in Wayne County - also called Dobbs county North Carolina in the 1750s. My family finder # is 290151 to see if we have an autosomal match and It is uploaded to gedmatch - thanks!
