There was a story I recall that mentioned that Edward the Martyr's bones were a subject of a legal dispute between two brothers. The bones were originally found at Corfe Castle, Dorset. I believe that the St Edward Brotherhood took formal charge of the remains in 1984, and keep the bones in the Russian Orthodox Chapel in Brookwood, Woking, Surrey.
Does the church still hold the bones, & has anyone approached the church with a view to DNA sampling ?
PS Edward 962-978
