Hello. I'm a long time lurker who finally has a reason to post. I'm testing my maternal line and would like some help. My maternal line is DF27+, Z196-, L617- and L881-. The kit I'm testing for is 211311 with the last name of Wade. The Ysearch id is JSJW2. I thought that the only snp I had left to test was Z255, but i now see that there is L86.2 and L1231. Are there anymore that I missed? If not, what order should I test for them in? Any advice that anyone could offer me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Martin. The matches to JSJW2, 211311 Wade could have the makings of an interesting DF27 cluster. I see there are several Wades, some have 67 markers, plus other surnames that look like they're related, sharing several key off-modal markers in common.
Interestingly, there is a possible subgroup of names who look related to each other. They are close matches to the Wades; an Alderman (T4H94, 67 markers), two 37 marker Burgesses (44XC3, DDV8C,) and a Forrest (BBDSQ), all medieval English/Scottish occupation/office names. It seems like a cluster of related early officials with different jobs.
E8202 Scholz (E8202 Augustin Scholz ~1780 Oberprausnitz -Bohemia) is DF27+ and L1231+. The Wades and others in your potential DF27 cluster share his 391=10, 389-i=14, 389-ii=30, 449=30 off-modal markers. Coincidentally, I think Scholz might be an old German occupation/office name too!
