I posted this thread in another subforum here and have gotten no response in nearly two weeks, so I thought I would re-post it here, where I know there is constant traffic.

I am thinking about signing up for Archives.com for access to their records.

Has anyone here ever used that service? Is it worth the $40 a year charge?

Do you get complete records or just indexes to records? I don't want indexes. I get plenty of those over at Ancestry.com.

I'll answer my own post here.

I tried Archives.com. They have a one-week free trial. I did not like it and could not find the records - fairly modern ones - I thought I would be able to find.

With the one-week free trial, if you cancel within that time frame, there is no charge.

Thank God I didn't have to pay for it! Phew!
