Title: NEUMAN/Ung megye
Post by: VivianKahn on November 24, 2005, 04:18:21 AM
My paternal grandfather was Viktor NEUMAN b. Szobrancz, Ung megye, Hungary, 1868.? His parents were Miksa NEUMAN? and Ottilie POLACSEK.? As a female this is, of course, genetically irrelevant.?

My maternal grandmother was Zlata (Lottie) BERKOVICS b Ujvaros, Hungary, 1878.? I believe that her mother's maiden name was Shprinze GROSZ.? Ujvaros was in Szatmar megye (county), Hungary and was part of the area ceded to Romania after World War I.? It is now Orasu Nou, Romania.? I've been researching my family for about 15 years and, unfortunately, this is the branch about which I know the least!? ?Please get in touch if you can explain what the test means or if you have roots in this part of old Hungary.?

I am looking for matches and, perhaps more importantly, for someone who can explain what this all means.? My test showed five mutations from CRS:

16223T
16224C
16234T
16311C
16519C
