Title: Mecklenburg County, NC & Jackson County, TN
Post by: Marty Sadler on August 11, 2016, 11:26:21 AM
Has ANYONE from the line of John Sadler of Mecklenburg County, NC & Jackson County, TN done any DNA testing?  My husband's great-great-grandfather was William Sadler, b. 1815 in Jackson County, Tennessee.  We believe that his mother was Winny Sadler who is listed in the 1850 Jackson County census. The 1st time that we find Winny is in the 1830 census as head of household.  No idea who she was married to (or IF she was married)  There is EXTENSIVE research on the web, done by DeCody Brad Marble, on the Sadlers from Jackson County (and prior to that Mecklenburg County, NC).  None of his research includes our William or Winny.  My question is:  Has anyone from the Mecklenburg NC / Jackson TN Sadlers done any kind of DNA testing?  I would very much like to see the y-DNA results from someone in this line to see if our William connects to it.
