Title: Family Surname: Lloyd DNA

Am looking for leads to my family, am stumped back in Virginia.
The only living direct male to this line has tested: I1 Im 253:
*Isaac William Lloyd b. 1785, m. Julia Sirk 1808, d. 1811
*Isaac Hyer Lloyd b.1812 Rockingham Co., Va., m.1837 Catherine McPherson, d.  1890 Braxton Co., WVa
*Doliver Boggess Lloyd b.1854 Braxton Co., Va., m. Martha Hopkins 1876, d. 1912 Braxton Co., WVa
*Homer Jackson Lloyd b. 1878, m. AnnaBelle Perrine 1904, d. 1944 Washington, DC
*Frederick William Lloyd b. 1919, m. Iona King 1942, d. 1995 Melbourne, Fla.

my father (surname Alford) tested as I-M253 and he only has one other match for Loyd. I have been in contact with the match's sister. She gave me some Virginia info but together we have not been able to make the connection. I believe I know how my father ended up with the Alford name (believe he is an Alford on the maternal line). The story happens several generations ago. Would like to hear what you have learned. Rockingham is interesting. As far as we know, there are no Rockingham connections. Our Loyds go back to Yorktown in the 1600s. I will have to look up the info to remember the names of the parents who left England for Yorktown. Some of the children went to Ohio and on to California.
