Title: Testing subclade query
Post by: Alpine on January 11, 2013, 02:19:41 AM
I have 3 questions in regard to testing a marker downstream from my marker.

I have positive L446 ( Hg T ) and downstream is L447 ( untested by me).

On checking every known genetic data site , I found ALL the 18 people who have positive L446 have negative L447,
1 - what chance is there that I have a positive L447 ....and if so will I get/become a different branch of this L446.

2 - will L447 eventually be a different branch is all are found negative to a positive L446?

3 - should I have a test or is it useless

BTW,  as yet, I have not found anybody who is positive L447 regardlesss of other subclades they belong to.

AFAIK, there has only been a single positive L447result, from Armenia.

If it was me, I'd test for it anyway, knowing up front that the result will likely be negative.

well, lucky for me I did not test

Added L1364, L1365 to Investigation, moved L447 from Investigation to Private on 11 January 2013.

It will be moved out of L446 branch
