Project Admin

If you would like to learn more about Surname Project Administration, two opportunities are on my speaking schedule:

  • Ninth Annual International Genetic Genealogy Conference - "Surname Project Administration" (Houston TX)  November 9, 2013
  • National Genealogical Society 2014 Family History Conference - "Surname Project Administration" (Richmond VA)  May 9, 2014

Surname Project Administration is my passion and it is the core of the services to the Genetic Genealogy community.  These two presentations are a blend of my personal approach to administering my own Ancestral Surname Projects and the approach that we take in administering Surname DNA Projects at WorldFamilies

Hope to see you there!

Capt.Benjamin Harris

Hi! I am just getting back to my genealogy research, after being sick for a few years. I lost all my paperwork, but I remember most of my line. I had my brother do the extensive DNA test years ago, but I can't find it, or my Harris line. I am hoping someone can help me. Also, I remember talking quite a bit to Glen Gohr. Is he still involved?? Thank you all so much! Cindy Harris Fares

Dutch roots

Hope to find people who match me on at least twelve markers and find out whether they have specific snp's.

Haplogroup assignment

Hi Terry,

I have been tested past P312 to DF27. As of right now, that is my terminal SNP; however, I am testing downstream L617. If that is negative, I will test L881. FTDNA is not up to date with the haplogroup designations now. I should be R1b1a2a1a2a* or R1b-DF27, but am shown as R1b1a2a1a1b. Could we show the more accurate haplogroup on our project for Norwood lineage III?

Dick Norwood

C Easley

What additional test would you recommend for me?

Warmest regards,

Sonia Easley

I've been a member for 4 and a half years...but cannot sign-in. I log in and it lists me as a "Guest."
My name is Arminda on WFT, and it comes up when I go there. On FTDNA my mtDNA
Kit # is 289616.

APPARENTLY I cannot visit or participate in any of the forums. What can I do to Change this?
