Delete the current text at the project's pedigree forum and paste this text:

We welcome pedigrees for anyone who has this surname (or a variation that is included in the Surname DNA Project at Family Tree DNA).  Posting your pedigree on the project's Pedigree Forum below allows it to be seen by interested researchers who may contact you to share information.

Please read the guidelines below to understand how to submit your pedigree:

1.  You may post your pedigree on the Pedigree Forum below by registering and logging in at www.worldfamilies.net.
How do I register to post a pedigree? Click here http://www.worldfamilies.net/register
I've already registered. How do I log in? Click here http://www.worldfamilies.net/alreadyregistered

When you have logged in, scroll to the last posting on this forum, click "reply" and post your pedigree.

2.  Pedigrees posted on this pedigree forum will not be posted on the project's Patriarch Page.   In order to be added to the project's Patriarch Page, pedigrees must
--belong to a DNA-tested member of the Surname Project at FTDNA
--be submitted by email to carrie@worldfamilies.net
--include the following information:
# Name of project
# Kit Number
# Name of person posting pedigree
# Email address to be posted with pedigree:
# Name, birthdate, birthplace, spouse of Earliest Known Ancestori
# List each succeeding generation below, using only those four items of information (or substitute another item of information if missing an item)

Pedigrees posted on this Pedigree Forum should be for

--those who have not had a family representative DNA-tested for Surname Project at Family Tree DNA.
--DNA-tested members of the Surname Project who have submitted a pedigree for the project's Patriarch Page who wish to post a more extended version of their pedigree on the Pedigree Forum, below.

Please do not include names for anyone born after 1910, to protect privacy.

If you have questions or are unable to post your pedigree on this forum, please contact carrie@worldfamilies.net

For a step-by-step guide to the whole process, please read DNA the Smart Way

User trying to log in using FTDNAi info

You will need to check first to see if he is registered at World Families website.  (See: User not able to log in or change password)

If there is no listing for him there using the email address you have, send this email:

I'm sorry you are having trouble logging in.  I could not find a registration for you under the email you used to contact me.  If you have registered using a different email address, please let me know.

Sometimes the problem is that there is confusion between your personal page at www.familytreedna.com and your project’s website at www.worldfamilies.net

  • Your personal page is located at Family Tree DNA (www.familytreedna.com)

  • The Project website is hosted at World Families Network (www.worldfamilies.net).
  • You do not need to be registered or logged in to view any page on the website.
  • You can find your project's website by typing the surname in the search box in the top left corner and then following the link to the project's homepage.

    • If you will register and log  in, you can click on “Make this a Favorite Project” in the left sidebar at the project website, and a link to the project website will appear under “Favorite Projects” each time you return to www.worldfamilies.net and log in. You can track several projects.
    • Click this link to go to the project website homepage:  http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/
Navigate to all the pages of the website by using the menu bar across the top of the project page.

For answers to many of your questions and step-by-step guide to the whole process of DNA testing for genealogy, please read the information provided in DNA the Smart Way: http://www.worldfamilies.net/smart
