TERRY DNA PROJECT DISCUSSION PAGE

This is a main discussion page for the various emerging Groups in the Terry DNA Project. The first person  to join the project T-1 was a descendant of Edward Tarry died 1660's South Mimms near London and in the American Colonies Samuel Tarry of Amelia and Lunenburg Counties, Virginia. Next we have the project coordinator T-2 and T-3 whose first results were received in June, 2005 who had known of one another for many years; however, not until 2005 were they aware they were what we now call "genetic cousins". As of Feberuary 23, 2009 we have 73 kits that have been distributed and 67 have been returned. We are begining to see project members who reside outside of the United States. 

We now have several Canadian citizens who have tested whose families originated in the USA.  One has had a match with Virginia Terrys in Terry Lineage 7.  There is one test from a Terry family who has been in County Cloyne in Ireland for several centuries and one from Lancashire, England so we are truly international now.
