This webpage was started up on Feb 24, 2009.
We will be working on it and adding inforamtion on linegae testing and the scope of the proejct. Please check back soon. We have posted the raw data of a number of tests. We will be augmenting this soon with more Switzer DNA results. If you are interested in DNA testins make sure to contact me so that I can advise you of the right tests for your particular goals and personal needs. We respect confidentialy and allow testing for those who do want to see their resutls first or consider family needs.
- DNA tests allow genealogists to verify son's father's...son's mother's ... and daughter's mother's ancestry.
- Surname DNA information is very powerful when combined with CORRECT traditional paper trails.
We use Switzer as the all encompassing representation and in order not to continually make reference to Scwheitzer, Swisher Sweitzer ertc etc. It seems to be middle of the road in terms of historical and native language varitions of he same surname. The S is many times handwritten in such a form in old documents to be misread by record abtrracters and indexersa, we include it for those who look for such a unusla referecnce to and ancestor.
Lewisher, Lewitzer, Schvisher, Schweiger, Schweitzer, Schweitzler, Schweizer, Schwitser, Shveiser, Shveitser, Shveitzer, Shveizer, Shwisher, Shwitzer, Shwizer, St. Cyr, Sveitzer, Svejcar, Svejcarova, Svitzer, Sweigert, Sweitzer, Swiffer, Swiger, Swipser, Swisher, Swisser, Switcher, Switser, Switzer, Switzler, Swizer

- Help researchers from common or related families work together to find their shared heritage.
- Identify how the participant's families are connected, both genetically and through paper trails.
- Identify and confirm genetic Lineages of ancestral families.
- Ultimately catalog pedigrees and genetic connections of all of the known project families.
- The participant's genetic DNA, which is very close (and sometimes identical) to his earliest known ancestor.
- The participant's "deep" ancestry (Haplogroup), which identifies the ancestor's prehistoric origins.
- A sense of camaraderie, which is particularly strong for those who share a genetic ancestry
- Stimulation to family research and renewed sharing of information
- A wider sense of identity and relationship, as we begin to realize how much we are a World Family.
- A chance to compare your genetic ancestry with those of your Surname and the spelling variations
- Your genetic matches who do not share your common surname
- The knowledge to understand our ancestors better - particularly where the records have been lost
