Sponsorship Project and Costs of Testing

 

 

 

 

Thanks to our family donors, the Southworth-Southard DNA Surname Project will provide sponsorships on minimum 37-marker tests to encourage needed participation in the following cases:   

 

*A sponsorship of $50 may be made to the 1st new participant of a Southworth line well documented back to either Constant b. 1614 or his brother Edward b. 1615, immigrated to New England.
 
*A sponsorship of $50 may be made to the 1st participant who can represent the ancestral line of Thomas Southworth who married Rosamond Lister in England. In other words, this person has a well documented genealogy showing a lineage that does not include either Edward Southworth, father of Thomas and Constant who emigrated to America, or Thomas Southard who emigrated to America but does show descendancy from an ancestor of Thomas (and Rosamond Lister) Southworth. This person probably still lives in the British Isles but may have emigrated elsewhere.
 
*A sponsorship of $50 may be made to the 1st participant who can represent the ancestral line of the Southworth family from Nottinghamshire in England.

Have you tested with another company?

 

If you tested with the National Geographic/Genographic project, you may transfer to Family Tree DNA at no cost because FTDNA performs the testing for this project. You should simply go to your page at NG/G and scroll to the bottom where there is a link to "More Information."

 

If you tested with RELATIVE GENETICS, DNAHERITAGE, ANCESTRY, OXFORD ANCESTORS, or GENEBASE, you may order a 37-marker test from FTDNA for the reduced price of $119 (regularly $189). Please write to me for details: doriswh@gmail.com
