The Hodges-Hodge Society was formed in November 2006 by researchers of Hodge and Hodges families, who met in Houston to share information and ideas. They decided to informally organize to set up a framework for data sharing and cooperative research. The Society held its second meeting in October 2007 in Richmond, Virginia. Besides having a great time together, the participants generated several promising ideas for gathering, organizing, and archiving Hodge(s) family data.
