How to provide your Pedigree

This project was started because of my Birdsong ancestry and interest in the unusual name.  The Birdsong family in America traces back to a John Birdsong - who appears in Charles Parish, York Co Virginia about 1700.  One theory is that John and his wife, Elizabeth, came to Virginia from England, but that John's family was "originally" from Germany - where the surname "Voglesang" translates directly to Birdsong.
