Welcome to the Swink Family DNA Project
Surnames for this project include, but are not limited to; Swink, Schwenk, Schwenck, Schwink, Schwincki, Swank, Swenk, Schenck, Schenk, and other similar spellings. If your surname is one of these, or a variation thereof, please contact us. We are seeking participants from all parts of the world with particular emphasis on the USA and Germany. (See the Patriarch Page)
Surname DNA testing is the newest tool available to genealogists. These tests help genealogists verify their paternal ancestry (father's father) in a quick and easy manner. It saves time, prevents mistakes, and provides invaluable data that can not be obtained in any other way.
This Family Project has been started to:
1. Help researchers of common or related families work together to find their common heritage.
2. Identify the DNA of the ancestor families and compile them and their lost branches into distinct genetic lineages through DNA matches.
3. To verify the paper trail that many researchers have dating back to the 1700's and beyond.
For basic information visit the "DNA the Smart Way" on the World Families Network
To Join the Swink Family DNA Project and order a DNA test click here
To join the project without ordering a DNA test, please submit your pedigree to Mary Harmon. Please only submit ancestors that have been verified through research. She will post your pedigree to our patriarch page.
If you have any questions, comments, or need help with research please contact us. Thank you for your interest in the Swink family and in DNA testing.
SCHENK WEBSITE named Forebears has requested that we place a link on our DNA website in case anyone is researching this surname - http://forebears.io/surnames/schenk##resources. David Schenk is the host of this website. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org (Posted 02/23/2016 by Mary Harmon)
PEDIGREE CHARTS: I am requesting that any member who joins this project send me their Pedigree line instead of posting it themselves. This way I will have the information to verify before posting to our Patriarch Pages. Many times we do research on the lineages before posting, unless we have your Source data verifying that it is correct. Thanks for your consideration in this. (Posted 02/23/2016 by Mary Harmon)
