Johannes Merckel, b 1720 line [Linked from Merckel-Alman (Ulster County)]

NOTE: The following lineage is partially speculative and additional research is required.  Sources and details are available from dmiracle AT verizon.com

William Markle, b 1782 line [Linked from Merckel-Alman (Ulster County)]

NOTE:  Two published and respected authors state that *Sarah* Green married William Markle, while two others state that *Nancy* Green married William Markle.  Unfortunately three of the four do not give adequate proof for either marriage.  The 10-year space between William Markle's 5th and 6th children appears to hint at the possibility of two marriages, as shown here, although that could be an erroneous conclusion.
