Submitting Pedigree to Your Project

Your Project Needs Your Pedigree

How do I provide a pedigree for a Surname DNA Project?
We invite both Surname Project members and Non-Members to submit your "Pedigree".
 IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF A SURNAME PROJECT with a website at World Families,  
CLICK HERE to SEND YOUR PEDIGREE BY EMAIL for posting on the Patriarchs Page.  
The Project Administrator will post it on the project's Patriarchs Page.
Please include the following:
  • Name of project
  • Kit Number if tested
  • Name of person posting pedigree
  • Email address to be posted with pedigree:
  • Name, birthdate, birthplace, spouse of Earliest Known Ancestor
  • List each succeeding generation below, using only those four items of information (or substitute another item of information if missing an item)
  • If you are a project member who wishes to post a more extended version of your pedigree than is posted on the Patriarchs Page, please log in and post the additional information on the project's Family Pedigree Forum.
2.  POST YOUR PEDIGREE ON THE PROJECT'S PEDIGREE FORUM
  • If YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER of a Surname Project at FTDNA, but you are an interested researcher for this surname, your pedigree will NOT be posted on the project's Patriarchs Page, but you are invited to log in and post your pedigree on the Project's Pedigree Forum .
  • TO POST ON THE PROJECT'S PEDIGREE FORUM:
    • Register and log in at www.worldfamilies.net. 
    • To find your project's pedigree forum
      • Do a search for the project by typing the surname in the search box.  Follow the links to the project's website.
      • Or you can go to the Surnames page and search for the project.
      • On the project's website, click the link "Pedigrees" on the right side of the black bar across the top of the page.
    • Scroll to the last posting on the project's pedigree forum, click "reply" and post your pedigree.
    • Please do not include names for anyone born after 1910, to protect privacy.
