Sandy, Ray, Charles; Do I understand the U106 subclade descendancy tree correctly? See the SNP hierarchical haplogroup list below.
Great chart, Sandy. I used this chart to update what I call the "Clades" tab/worksheet in my U106 spreadsheets.
The below haplogroup list reflects the phylogeny of U106 as I understand it. I use formulas to scrape the Y DNA SNP report from the large projects and then to calculate the below so it is important I understand the "terminal" or defining SNP as well as the immediate downstream, relevant potential SNPs.
L44 and L163 use to give me fits because of their equivalence and use, however, it now looks like everyone who is L163+ also shows L44+ in their haplotree. Is that correct?
I don't think we know the position of Z336 vis-a-vie L696, do we? I shouldn't assume they are parallel, I suppose?
