Another Oetzi in Valle d’Aosta

Vent'anni dopo il ritrovamento sul Similaun, in Alto Adige, della mummia di Oetzi - morto tra i ghiacci mentre fuggiva dai suoi assalitori - una nuova scoperta, stavolta a Introd, in Valle d'Aosta, ci riporta a 5.000 anni fa.
Durante gli scavi per la nuova scuola materna, è stato trovato lo scheletro, perfettamente conservato, di una donna coeva di Oetzi. I resti, ma non il corredo funebre, erano in una tomba. Lo scheletro è già in un laboratorio, dove sarà analizzato per cercare età, stile di vita e cause della morte della donna.

A dare il nome alla "Signora di Introd" saranno i bimbi della nuova scuola.

Twenty years after the finding on the Similaun, in Alto Adige, of the mummy of Oetzi, dead amongst the glaciers while was escaping his assailants, a new finding, this time at Introd, in Valle d’Aosta, brings us to 5,000 years ago.
While they were digging for the new nursery school, the skeleton of a woman contemporaneous of Oetzi, perfectly preserved, has been found. The human remains, but not her funeral equipment, were in a tomb. The skeleton is already in a lab, where it will be analysed for age, style of life and the woman death causes.
 
The name to the “Signora di Introd” will be given by the children of the new school.
