The Will of Brunette Cathcart late of Ratalla in the County of Down Widow deceased who died 21 August 1863 at same place was proved at Belfast by the oaths of Francis Brandon of Portavogie (Kirkcubbin) Schoolmaster and Robert M'Gifford of Ratalla (Kirkcubbin) Farmer both in the County of Down the Executors.

Here lieth the body of Mary Palmer alias Miller, wife to James Palmer of Portavogie who departed this life Oct.23, 1796, aged 46 years.
Also James Palmer, he died the 7th May 1807 aged 70 years.
Also his son James Palmer of Portavogie who died the 13th of May 1857 aged 82 years. BORN C 1775
Also his grandson James Palmer of Portavogie who died the 25th of July 1857 aged 58 years. BORN C 1799
Also Sarah Palmer, wife of the last said James Palmer, who died the 21st of January 1867 aged 68 years.
Erect. by William Reid of Portavogie in memory of his son William who at the age of 22 was drowned with James CATHCART & Robert PIPER when returning from the Green Isle [off Portavogie; south of the harbour] where they had been fowling on the 3d day of Feb. 1831.
Also his son Alexander who drowned in Kingstown, America, on the 14th Oct. 1842 aged 37 yrs.
Also his wife Mary Reid alias MILLER who departed this life April the 29th 1843 aged 53 yrs.

Here lieth the body of John McDonnell late of Ratalla who died 18th June 1798 aged 57 yrs.

Also Margaret Cathcart BROWN, Ratalla , who died Aug. 1884.
Also her husband James Brown who died Aug. 1885.
