According to FTDNA's Draft Y tree for Haplogroup R at
http://ytree.ftdna.com/index.php?name=Draft&parent=8819763 :
R1b1b (FTDNA & ISOGG 2010) a.k.a. R-P297 may be re-mapped to R1b1a
R1b1c (FTDNA & ISOGG 2010) a.k.a. R-M335 may be re-mapped to R1b1b
R1b1a (FTDNA & ISOGG 2010) a.k.a. R-V88** may be re-mapped to R1b1c
**R-M18 was sitting at R1b1c but gets bumped down below R-V88 to R1b1c1
Thus
R-M269 (currently R1b1b2) may become R1b1a2 R1b1b2 may not be R1b1b2 any more. Testing companies and standard bodies have to adjust their haplogroup labeling from time to time.
However, that makes our conversations confusing at times. Please consider only using the "short" haplogroup labeling system. R-M343 for R1b, R-M269 for R1b1b2, R-U106, R-P312, etc.....
