I sent in my DNA sample for mtDNA testing and received my HVR1 results back on the expected date. The HVR2 results were expected on 7/14 - a week ago. My understanding is that this might indicate the sample is not good enough to get a definite result or that they have to rerun the test. Why could the lab get a good answer on the HVR1 and not HVR2? I also upgraded to FGS which is expected 8/23.
What could be the reason for the delay of HVR2?
My haplogroup is U5a2 with mutations 16192T, 16210G, 16256T, 16270T, 16526A.
