Hi everyone, I have an ancestor, James Richmond, who got married on Sept26, 1802, a the Anglican Church of Trois-Rivières (Quebec). He married Élizabeth Savard, 17 years old. The record does not indicate where he comes from or the name of his parents. On source says he is from Norfolk, MA, and was born abt 1775, but no evidence of this could be provided. Another source says he's from England. I have good indication that he died at La Baie-du-Febvre (Que) in 1810.
His son, John James Richmond married Euphrosine Boisvert in 1827. In 1837, he settled at Green Bay and later at La Crosse, WI. I believe he got married a second time. One of his doughters married a Martel, another one a Marcoux (Marco). I have a lot of info about the descendants, but nothing about the parents or the place of birth of James Richmond.
So my question is: does anyone have info on the origin of James Richmond ?
