Using pipes, hair for Y chr. testing

Hi, All

We are looking for any relatives of our grandfather Samuel (Shlomo ben Avraham) Finkelstein who hailed from Galicia and came to the US in 1888.  He had only 2 sons, both of whom are now deceased. These sons had only daughters, so we have no male Finkelstein relatives.  But we do have a number of pipes smoked over many years by one of the sons, and some baby hair from him as well.  Does anyone know if saliva on the pipes could be used to find the Y chromosome, and if so, where might we have it tested?
