Interested in anyone who has information about our family namesake. John Buckley born 1787 Va., FtDNA #163875 We have traced him back to Shelby co., Ky in 1814 when he met and married his wife Elizabeth Hedden. By 1822 they had migrated to Shelby co, Tx. where they raised a large family, of which I am a descendent. The full family tree can be found on Ancestry.com, John Buckley tree. All of our documentation indicates that John claimed he was born in Va., where and when we cannot determine. The paper trail stops in Ky. We cannot find any siblings, parents or other documented family. Any comments, leads, documentation would be appreciated. We have a lot on neat family history and information about John and his descendants. A Texas Historic Pioneer Cemetery, Spanish Land Grants, War of 1812 Veteran, Repulic of Texas veterans, Civil War veterans, school disticts, shootings, stabbings and other frontier stuff. We are striving to extend this history further back. Interestingly, the DNA seems to exclude us from the Buckleys that show lineage in Va. I look forward to any comments, etc.
