Yahoo Groups

If you participate in the Yahoo groups for the R-P312 and Subclades Project or the R-L21 Plus Project, I just wanted to let you know that I have been unable to post on either of them for the last couple of days. Everytime I try to send a message, it won't leave my "Drafts" folder or show up in my Sent box or my Inbox.

I'm thinking about doing whatever I have to do to dissolve those groups, since I have had almost nothing else but trouble with Yahoo.

I'm not having that problem, but I don't really care which tools we use as long as they work and we can get the most people on it without getting a lot of wildly tangential stuff.

I like these kind of forums (WorldFamilies, DNA-forums and FTDNA forums) because it is easier to read through a thread than a Yahoo group and there is some hiearchial structure.

Can you create a section within R1b1b2 on this forum for P312* details and L21* details and M222 details? 

FTDNA forums still seems to get more traffic.  I'm not sure why exactly other than it has been used heavily for a longer period of time.

I'm about ready to post a spreadsheet that all the L21* folks would be interested in.   Does WorldFamilies have a way to post a document that will be updated periodically so that it doesn't get buried in a thread?   More a less the equivalent of "pinning" something in an easy to find place.

BTW, RMS2, thanks for all you do.  These forums are invaluable.

I have given up using Yahoo for just about everything other than email. Have you thought about using Google Documents app to store key items and be able to link to each of them?

I don't have that power here. Terry would have to do it, but right now it seems to me this R1b1b2 forum is mostly about R-L21*. Maybe if guys from other clades start posting here we could get an R-L21* forum or subforum here at World Families.

This is now my favorite dna discussion venue, by the way. I like the atmosphere. Hope it doesn't change.

I know Yahoo/Geocities is shutting down on 26 October. I had to create a new poetry page at Google Sites. I guess they may be doing away with more free services in the future.
