We are interested in finding through DNA testing some earlier generations:
1st Generation - Andrew Jackson Hopper (born in either Missouri or Illinois re Census records) ca 1841, 2nd husband of Nancy E. Carpenter, m. 9 Aug. 1865 in Ellis County TX.
2nd Generation - James Monroe Hopper b. 1869, Ellis County TX and Andrew J. Hopper Jr. b. 1871 (?) Ellis County, TX.
3rd Generation - William S. Hopper, son of James Monroe Hopper and Sarah (Sally) Moore, m. Henderson County, TX 1898. Aloise Hopper, Pauline Hopper, James M. Hopper Jr., Raymond Keith Hopper.
4th Generation - Ralph E. Hopper, 1959, Mary A. Hopper, 1950, Nancy A. Hopper, J. S. Hopper, W.S. Hopper Jr.
5th Generation - Ralph E. Hopper m. Kristy Godwin, 1980. Kevin G. Hopper, Ryan E. Hopper.
Have sent in DNA test, waiting for result at this point - June 2009. Any information will be greatly appreciated. We know nothing of the ancestry earlier than what is posted here. MS.
