I am searching for the parents of Alch/Alcy E. Ayers who married Sarah Choate in Putnam Co. TN. Alcy & Sarah had children: Anna, m Martin Phy, Edward, (my ancestor) m Tennie Choate, Joseph Washington, Samuel Asbury m Alice Mackie & Mary Lou, m West Jones. Alcy is listed in the 1880 Putnam census and in the 1910 & 1920. In 1920 he is listed as 78yo & b in KY. I can not find a death certificate on Alcy. I understand that Alice Mackie's mother may have been an Ayers and I suspect a connection to Clinton Co. KY but have not been able to find any firm evidence of who his parents were. Any help would be appreciated in my research on the Ayers family. Mike
