When researching the name Stroud I met over and over the posting of a Charles T. as being a son of Jacob and Elizabeth McDowell Stroud, Jacob born in 1735 and a Patriot.  The Stroud records are in Stroudsburg Pa, housed in old Stroud Mansion.  Charles was not a son of Jacob, Jacob had a daugther, Deborah, born Jan 1782, Charles could not have been born in Sept 1781.  How do I get this information out?

The best thing to do is to post the correct pedigree on the Stroud Pedigree Forum http://www.worldfamilies.net/forum/?topic=368  You can also explain the mistake that has been repeated, so that other researchers can see your posting and perhaps correspond with you.
